Instrument Specialists Incorporated (ISI) was formed in 1991 with the mission to provide innovative products for Thermal Analysis. With years of experience in the Thermal Analysis field the people at ISI are dedicated to customer service and providing superior quality products. Remember Thermal Analysis is all we do!
Our full range of Thermal Analyzers provide flexibility with a wide range of operating temperatures. Our instruments consists of DSC, PDSC, DTA, TGA, and STA analyzers with temperature ranges from -125C to 1500C. Our advanced Windows software provides easy operation while offering advanced analysis features.
ISI is the only company that can offer advanced upgrade systems for your existing Thermal Analyzer. We have been providing upgrade systems since 1994 for TA Instruments (DuPont), Perkin Elmer, Mettler, Netzsch, Rheometrics (Omnitherm & PL), Setaram and many others. All upgrade systems use the same advanced Windows software as our new analyzers. These systems can transform your existing analysers into a high performance instrument at a fraction of the cost for full replacement. Also we provide full service and support for all existing analyzers.
In addition to new Instruments and Upgrades ISI offers a wide range of quality parts and supplies for existing thermal analysis equipment. From DSC pans to quartz work we provide it all! We pride ourselves with outstanding quality and reasonable prices.
Please call us to experience the personalized service we offer. You will always get a real person at the other end of the line willing to help with your Thermal Analysis needs.

Thermal Analyzers
STA iseries (Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer) -The STA simultaneously measures DSC and TGA on a single instrument. The DSC sensor is suspended from the recording micro balance and the two measurements are performed simultaneously on the sample.
TGA iseries (Thermogravimetric Analyzer) - The TGA measures the change of weight of a sample as a function of a temperature profile. This method is useful for determining sample decomposition, oxidation or loss of solvent or water.
DSC iseries (Differential Scanning Calorimeter) - The DSC measures the energy absorbed or released from a sample as a function of time or a temperature. DSC is useful to make the measurements for melting points, heats of reaction, glass transition, heat capacity and purity determination.
PDSC (Pressure Differential Scanning Calorimeter) - The Pressure DSC allows for experiments to run under pressure up to 1000 PSI using various gases. This allows for samples to be tested under the conditions they will be exposed to during processing and or use.
DSCE (External Differential Scanning Calorimeter) - The DSC-E is a flexible instrument allowing for DSC and DTA cells to be interchanged on one easy to operate unit. Cells simply plug in and the software automatically configures the system for each cell type.
DTA (Differential Thermal Analyzer) - The DTA measures the temperature difference between a sample and an inert reference as a function of time or temperature. This method is similar to DSC but does not quantify energy measurements; often used for high temperature work. Glass transition, phase changes, and melting points can all be measured.
